Straightforward studio photography
Relaxed from
the start.
Most people arrive saying they are not comfortable in front of a camera. That is fine. I will tell you where to stand, what to do and when we have the shot.
The studio is for families, pets, children, working portraits and the occasional idea that needs more room. Sessions are calm, practical and planned around who is coming.

Pets
Portraits for dogs and other companions. They do not need perfect manners; patience, treats and sensible breaks are part of the job.

Newborns, birthdays and the stages that pass quickly. Keep it simple or bring a clear theme and I’ll plan what is practical.

Headshots & branding
Portraits for work profiles, websites and small-business content. I’ll agree the framing and background with you before the session.

Portraits for dancers, sportspeople and performers. Movement, kit and stronger lighting can all be part of the brief.

White Lion Studios is inside White Lion Yard, beneath Mansfield’s viaduct. Public parking is close by. Full arrival and access details are sent to booked clients rather than published here.

Paper backdrops, simple seating and controlled lighting can be changed between jobs. Tell me what you need the photographs for and I will suggest a sensible set-up.

01When can I book?
Enquiries are open. Tell me what you need and I’ll reply with the current availability.
02Where is White Lion Studios?
Inside White Lion Yard in Mansfield town centre, with public parking close by. Full arrival and access details will be sent before your session.
03What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
Most people do. I’ll give clear direction throughout the session and keep things moving at a comfortable pace.
04Can children and dogs be photographed together?
Yes. The session can include both, with enough time for breaks and a change of set-up if needed.
05Can I bring my own idea?
Yes. You can keep things simple or come to me with a theme, milestone, prop or mood. We’ll shape the practical details together before the session.
06Can photographers hire the studio?
